Basic skills in Information
and Communications Technologies (ICTs), such as through the European
Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) programme or similar and preferably skills
to the level of the New Opportunities Fund (NOF) 2-8 and Advanced training
outcomes, for example, advanced searching skills (further details about

programme are on the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA)

Understanding and
experience of good customer service and standards for digital reference.
Flexible and accommodating
approach to different methods of communicating online, for example, text
speak and chat-room slang.
Expertise with different
types of electronic resources as well as with the internet.
Ability to effectively and
quickly evaluate, effectively and quickly, electronic, internet and print
resources.
Basic hardware
