Funding Enquire
Originally commissioned as part of the People's Network trio of services run by The Museums, Libraries and Archives
Council (MLA) the service was able to be set up with a grant, from the Big Lottery Fund .
After year 1, participating libraries have wholly supported the service by contributing a
discounted subscription fee to cover technology, training, and management
fees.
This package represents a ‘national offer’ to deliver a cutting-edge service.
It equates to less than £40 per week for having a 24/7-365-day-a-year reference
service.
In addition for an average staff contribution of one half day shift per fortnight (equating to roughly 13 days per annum) your citizens can get access to your 'local' information as well as their general and learning needs all day, every day. Not only are your citizens being served, if further follow up is required, this can be tracked through the software rather than just providing a link to the contact information.
